Pieces of Me...

So, like I said, I'm a California girl that's been permanently transplanted here in "the sunshine state."  I originally hated the idea of leaving everything I knew and loved to move to a place like Plant City Florida, "the winter strawberry capital of the world" OH JOY!  I was going to graduate high school and get the heck outta here.  Then I met the most wonderful person in the whole entire universe.  He became my best friend and introduced me to reason number 2 on the list of things that keep me firmly anchored to the east coast, (the gulf beaches, specifically Anna Maria Island which is where we got married 12 years later.)  And now I can't imagine my life without Josh.  I know that God has put me here for a reason, and moving here was the best thing that could've ever happened. 

I own my own business, I love what I do, I do what I love and make money doing it. I  truly believe that it is one of the secrets of success in life. 

We own a house that is constantly a work in progress but definitely a labor of love. I joke around about suffering from ADD because right now I have 3 major projects that are all approximately 90% complete...will someone please tell me that’s normal? 

I love my family...My in-laws are amazing.  My friends often say that I’m lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with them.  And I concur. 

Live music makes me happy, especially when Josh is playing guitar.  You can usually find me at his gigs...I’ll be the girl screaming & shouting every time he plays a solo.

My theory on age:  I think that age is just a number to keep track of how long you've been on this planet.  I always say that life’s too short & you only get to live it once so you may as well live it up and do it right, REGRETS are not an option.

I LOVE to travel, I never let the grass under my feet grow too long, it's one of the only things that keeps me sane.

My second favorite place in the world is Hawaii. I've never been to French Polynesia but if you've searched high and low and still can't find me it's because I've run away to Bora-Bora and I'll be sipping on a tropical libation from a coconut on a hammock between two palm trees when you find me.

I love sand dunes, salty air & long walks on the beach with my husband at sunset.

My passion is photography.  I love old movies, especially Alfred Hitchcock, film noir & music documentaries.  I’m so happy someone thought of NETFLIX, I’m just sorry it wasn’t me. ;)

I pretend to be a poet, but you'll be lucky if I ever let you read a poem that I've written.  However, “NEVER SAY NEVER” is a quote that I try to live by, so we’ll see what happens.

Honesty is everything.  Superficial people suck. 

I love sushi, I would eat Thai cuisine any day of the week & Maggiano's makes me want to jump on a treadmill.  My wonderful husband and I cook together a lot, so be on the lookout for some of our adventures in the kitchen...

I love my friends, they are my "planets”.

 

Life without chocolate is like a day without sunshine. Ok, there, I said it.

Four staples in my life:  my ipod, anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, my Nespresso machine, and my Nikon DSLR, I saved the best for last...Honestly, I’d marry it if I could. 

“I never underestimate, I sometimes overindulge and you won’t catch me selling-out,” she says with a hand on her hip.

I respect people with amazing talent of any kind.
